Today 06 September MG Motor India launched the Astor Blackstorm Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 14.48 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant is based on the top-spec Super trim and has a number of cosmetic and feature improvements over the standard variant.
It features a blacked-out grille, alloy wheels, and a blacked-out roof on the outside of the Astor Blackstorm Edition. It also receives a new set of body graphics as well as a new rear spoiler as well. A black interior and red accents are the only changes that have been made to the interior of the SUV.
Powered by the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine as the Astor Blackstorm Edition, the Astor Blackstorm Edition is capable of producing 143 PS and 250 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission, depending on your preference.
There are a number of features included in the Astor Blackstorm Edition, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree parking camera.
The Astor Blackstorm Edition is a limited-edition model and there are only 1000 units available worldwide. In terms of competition, it is expected to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition and the Kia Seltos X-Line in the near future.
